Really great gun. I've used it for about 10k rounds so far with interesting results. The aesthetics are amazing; they seem to inspire people a lot when you let them hold it.

Pros:
- Strong construction.
- Decent starter internal parts.
- Good/proper shimming & mechbox lube (ty Taiwan).
- Excellent spring.
- Good cylinder and cylinder head.
- Decent piston/head.
- Easy-to-work-with trigger assembly/grouping.
- Good quality, long, standard bore internal barrrel.
- Awesome/helpful field strip.
- Locking body pins/screws save headaches.
- Stock->Receiver wiring is inspiring.
- 337 fps (.20g / 9.6v) STOCK!
- 16.08 bb/sec (.20g / 9.6v) STOCK!

Cons:
- High-cap mags fire ~120bbs before wind up.
- Cannot remove flash hider from outer barrel (but should).
- Gun did not field strip properly out of the box until chassis parts properly remounted.
- Safety selector is a pain during reassembly (0.9mm Hex!?, free ball-bearings).
- Plastic bushings.
- [apparently] Die cast gears.
- Proprietary long nozzle.
- Small battery compartment.
- Surpassing 18 bb/sec caused feed problems (needed new tappet delayer chip).
- Installing mosfet requires disable of realistic bolt/charging handle (unless very small).

Conclusion:
If you want a gun to /easily/ upgrade, this is not a good choice. However, if you buy this as an intermediate airsmith, I recommend upgrading gears, bushings, motor, and cylinder (_standard bore_) asap. Bore up kit will require modification of stock nozzel (bored up nozzel with 7/32" drillbit).

Anyways the main point is you can upgrade this to a certain point as a novice->intermediate. If you like to get creative when working with a gun, this is a great choice. Stock parts are decent, but a veteran will want more from it. It's very accurate with proper RoF and power out of the box. Stock, it never gave me any problems.

Trinity:
The standard VFC SCAR-H package was supposed to include a few extras, but Trinity removed them from their package (NO SILENCER??, etc.). A little disappointed in this. Otherwise, Trinity came through. Good shipping, [annoying but legal] orange painted tip, gun in great shape.

To clarify, Trinity did not remove any items from the packages. The standard MK-17 HEAVY has never included a silencer. VFC shows the SSR version as including one. We have not carried that model and as stated on VFC's site included accessories and specifications are subject to change based on local laws and regulations. All airsoft guns coming into the U.S. are subject to U.S. laws and regulations and may vary from what a manufacturer lists on their site. We do our best to list what actually comes in the box with each gun under the Detailed Info tab. However, sometimes manufacturers change things without informing us.
