I got this mag and it said it could work with other snipers and i tried it on my M187A and it fit but the first day after about an hour of shooting with it it just keeps falling out of the mag catch and then later that day the mag spring and piece fell out:(

The M187, ASR, and SD98 series of sniper rifles while pretty much a standard Type 96 internally do not use a standard Type 96 magazine. They have a different mag catch setup. Mags for these guns look identical to a standard Type 96, but have push tab releases on the side. For these guns, you need the specific M187, Echo ASR, or TSD SD98 series magazines.
