The KM4 CQB was designed and engineered especially for close quarters battle scenarios where a 350 FPS limit is imposed.

Straight out of the box, the KM4 CQB shoots consistently at 340-350 FPS but fires more than 20+ rounds per second using .20 gram BBs. The KM4 CQB is "LiPo-Ready" and share all the standard features found on the KM4A1 plus several new enhancements like the new heat sink motor plate to dissipate heat build up generated by the high speed performance motor.

All of the internal components have been finely tuned and re-calibrated to provide maximum rate of fire but maintaining the 350 FPS limit found on many CQB fields.

Please go here to find out more about the special handling and warning information regarding the use of Li-poly batteries. . Max recommended by KWA 7.4V, 11.1V Lithium Polymer or Lithium Manganese Battery [Maximum 11.1 V, 20A continuous]

Aside from those mentioned on the specs section of the item description, the 2009 version (Generation 2) KM4 CQB also has a beefier one piece outer barrel which contribute to a more solid feel of the gun. Also, the pistol grip has threaded metal inserts for the motor base plate which prevent the screw holes from stripping when doing maintenance.

The 2GX gearbox has new reinforcements on the front section. The metal on the front area (where the V.2 gearboxes usually crack) is now twice as thick and will be more resistant to cracking. It also uses a full set of 9mm bearings for the gears which are more resistant to disintegrating.

The gear set is heat treated contributing to better durability. As before, the teeth on the gears are thicker than the Systema gear sets in the market.

The 2G hop bucking is much like the Firefly AEG hop buckings (which normally run $21 by themselves). The new type hop bucking allows for even contact points on the BB which results in better consistency in flight pattern. This results in improved accuracy and precision.

Everything in the 2009 KM4 CQB has been improved. It truly is built for use with 11.1v 1600mah (20C) LiPo batteries.

The only thing I wasn't a big fan of was the aluminum piston head which bring about increased stress onto the front of the gearbox. Despite the reinforcements done, I personally would go for a polycarb/ POM piston head to replace the stock one with.
